kayn.studio Selected to Design the New Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation Main Library & Headquarters

kayn.studio is proud to announce that our design proposal has been selected as the winning design for the new Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation (AHSF) Main Library and Headquarters in Shmeisani, Amman, following an invited architectural competition.

Conceived as a new civic and cultural destination for Amman, the project brings together the Foundation’s main library, cultural and public programmes, and headquarters within a building envisioned as an open and generous interface with the city.

At the heart of our proposal is the idea of the Porous Portal; an architecture that invites people in, creates connections across different programmes and communities, and reimagines the library as an active public space for knowledge, exchange, and collective life.
